Independent Living Options (ILO) Assessment for Confident, Supported Living
Independent Living Options (ILO) Assessment
Independent Living Options (ILO) funding helps NDIS participants aged 18 and over live independently in a home of their choice. While ILO does not cover the cost of housing, it provides the tailored support needed to create a safe, sustainable, and individualised living arrangement.
Our service supports individuals across Australia through accessible telehealth.
What’s Included in an ILO Assessment
An ILO assessment explores your daily living needs, preferences, routines, and safety considerations to ensure you can sustain an independent lifestyle with the right supports. Following your ILO assessment, the ILO Functional Capacity report is typically submitted to the NDIS to request funding for Stage 1 – Exploration and Design. This stage allows the participant, with support from their Support Coordinator, to explore suitable living options, identify individual needs and preferences, and develop a detailed ILO Service Proposal. Once the proposal is completed and approved by the NDIS, Stage 2 – Implementation involves putting the identified supports in place to enable and sustain the participant’s chosen ILO arrangement.
